The National Click It or Ticket seat-belt enforcement
campaign began on Monday as both Nassau and Suffolk County Police Departments
will be participating, authorities said.
Nassau County police said in a Friday news release that its
department and 16 other city and village departments will be a part of the
enforcement program (http://goo.gl/5QSQO).
When driving your car, make sure that you and your
passengers buckle up. If you do not and you get pulled over, you will receive a
ticket from the police officer. Also, since Memorial Day weekend is coming,
please drive safe and don’t drink and drive.
