Order Your Super Bowl XLVI Champions Plate Today from the NYS DMV! 

Are you proud of your New York Giants for taking home the Vince Lombardi trophy? Show your appreciation with a commemorative, custom 2012 Giants Super Bowl License Plate! 

All vehicles that are registered in NYS as a passenger class vehicle or as a commercial class vehicle are eligible for the custom plate. Other custom plates are available for Motorcycles that are registered in NYS. 

To order the commemorative plate, click HERE. If your current plate is not personalized, but you want a personalized 2012 Super Bowl Champions plate, the fee to convert is $78.75.

Customers with current Giants plates can convert to a 2012 Super Bowl Champions custom plate. Contact the Custom Plates Unit at 518-402-4838. The cost is $28.75. You cannot convert to this plate online or at a DMV office, only by calling the Custom Plates Unit.

Edward Mangano, County Executive, Wants To Convert 4 of 8 Precincts Into Committee Policing Centers

According to The Wall Street Journal, a plan to realign a suburban police department’s eight police precincts is set to get another airing. 

“Several committees of the Nassau County Legislature are due to vote Monday on whether to send the proposal to the full legislature,” (TWSJ.com). The vote is expected later this month.  

County Executive Edward Mangano wants to convert four of eight precincts into committee policing centers. “The centers would be staffed by only two officers around the clock. Four other precincts would remain as-is,” (TWSJ.com). Mangano says no patrol officers will be taken off the street under the plan, but could save $20 million annually.

Nassau is struggling to close a $300-million-plus deficit , reports TWSJ.

Case #3: the original charges were passing in a no passing zone with 3 points and $200 fine, divider charge with 2 points and $220 fine, disobeying a traffic device with 2 points and a $220 fine and unsafe lane changing with 3 points and a $220 fine, totaling $850 in fines and 10 points. Traffic Ticket Nassau County reduced the first 3 charges to parking tickets with 0 points and $525 fine, and dismissed the unsafe lane changing charge, with a $15 fine. This saved his client all 10 points and $335.

Nassau County's Umberto's Pizzeria Delivers Pies to Giants Before Their Big Win!

By now everyone should be aware that our New York Giants took home the Vince Lombardi Trophy after defeating the New England Patriots in Indianapolis on Sunday during Super Bowl XLVI. 

What you might not have heard is that last week, Umberto’sPizzeria in New Hyde Park, NY rushed 20 pies to the Giants practice facility in Indianapolis. Players have grown accustomed to pregame slices from Umberto’s and wanted some on hand when they finished their Friday morning practice for Sunday’s Super Bowl. 

Gaetano Corteo, a manager and son of founder Umberto Corteo, personally escorted the pies to LaGuardia Airport to be placed on Delta Flight 8795. He left the restaurant shortly after 8am in a black unmarked car provided by the Nassau County Sheriff’s Department. The car made it to the airport during rush hour with the help of two deputy sheriffs on motorcycles. 

This has caused some controversy amongst Nassau County residents.

“The problem I have is using an unmarked car provided by the Nassau County Sheriff’s department and two Nassau police motorcycle cops to bring the pizza to the airport. The cops and Nassau County are so out of touch with the everyday citizen and taxpayer, and this proves it,” says Joe from Holbrook.

“…It seems freshness is now a government matter. The pizza restaurant is in the Third precinct, which is not slated to be modified as a community policing center. While I am all for tasty pizza and supporting your favorite team, clearly the values of the Nassau County officials were way off target on these decisions,” says Irene from Valley Stream.

Did You Get a Ticket from a Nassau County Police Officer? You Can Plead NOT GUILTY! Here's How...

You can plead NOT GUILTY to a traffic violation issued to you by a Nassau County Police Officer. How? Let Traffic Ticket Nassau County explain and help! 


There are a few ways you can plead NOT GUILTY:

Follow the instructions on the back of the ticket, filling out the right side of the back of the ticket; sign it, and mail it to the Court within forty-eight hours of receiving the violation. Be sure to include your current mailing address. 

You can also plead not guilty by appearing in person in Court on the court date specified on your ticket.

You can request a Supporting Deposition by checking the appropriate box on the back of ticket. A Supporting Deposition will provide you with additional information regarding the basis for the ticket.   A Supporting Deposition request must be timely; that is, a defendant must have already been arraigned and have made a request for the supporting deposition before the end of thirty days following the return date appearing on the ticket.  


If timely requested, the Court will order the Supporting Deposition from the police officer who issued the ticket. The police officer will have 30 days from the date of your request to mail you the Supporting Deposition. Your case will then be scheduled for a non-jury trial; you will receive written confirmation of the trial date from the Court.
