It's happening again.  The potential of another cancelled NHL season looms over the sports world as the National Hockey League announced Wednesday the cancellation of the 2012 preseason games through Sept. 30.  The announcement was due to the inability of the NHL Player's Association and NHL to agree on a Collective Bargaining Agreement.

We last heard of an NHL Lockout during the 2004-2005 season, when negotiations fell apart resulting in the cancellation of the 2004-2005 NHL season.

The New York Rangers are set to lose three preseason contests, which include two against the New Jersey Devils and another against the Philadelphia Flyers.  Nassau County local Islanders will cancel two games against the Edmonton Oilers and New Jersey Devils.

According to sources, several Blue shirts have already signed deals to play overseas, including Carl Haglin and offseason signing Rick Nash.

Heads Up:  The NHL preseason match up slated for Oct. 2 between the New York Islanders and New Jersey Devils at the freshly opened Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY is still questionable!
