If you’re planning on attending the 85th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade tomorrow, and you’re thinking about driving into NYC, keep these few things in mind.

Alternate side and meter rules are not in effect on Thanksgiving Day, but watch out for the dreaded no stopping, no standing and no parking anytime signs. These tickets can turn out to be hefty fines.

According to CBS New York, rates change at parking garages from $14 before 10am at 9th Avenue and west 31st Street, as well as close to other parade hot spots, to $50!

Margot Tohn from ParkItNYC.com says “if you park closer to 11th or 12th Avenues or anywhere on the East Side where they might not have an event rate in effect, that’s where you’re going to pay the least amount,” (CBS New York).

Authorities will be on the lookout for illegal parks, so be sure you’re in a legal spot before you leave your car.

Traffic Ticket Nassau County would like to wish you and your family a happy, healthy and safe Thanksgiving holiday!
