Long Island Sobriety Checkpoint Ends with Thirteen Arrests!

This past weekend in Suffolk County Long Island, there was a sobriety checkpoint was set up on Route 110 in Huntington. The checkpoint was conducted by the Suffolk County Police, New York State Police and MTA Police.

The checkpoint was set up in an effort to prevent injuries and fatalities. Of the 662 cars that passed thru the Route 110 checkpoint, there were thirteen arrests made by the end of it.

Twelve individuals were charged with driving while intoxicated, and one other individual was charged with driving while ability impaired by the combined influence of drugs and alcohol, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.
