In the weekend that kicks off the summer, there were people
who took risks of getting home while having too much to drink and got caught.
According to Newsday, Nassau and Suffolk County Police
Officers have arrested at least 60 people during the Memorial Day Weekend on
charges of drunken or drugged driving (http://goo.gl/CkPCk).
In the breakdown of the numbers, Nassau County officers
arrested 39 people on DWI charges and Suffolk County saw 21 arrests. All of
these, to date, were from Friday night through Saturday morning. The numbers
for the remaining days of the weekend are still to come out.
