After the New Jersey Devils dominated the New York Rangers
in Game 4 of the NHL Eastern Conference Finals, the Rangers wanted to come out
with a sense of urgency Wednesday night and take the series lead. However, it was
the Devils who did just that.
New Jersey scored three quick first-period goals to take a
3-0 lead, only to have the Rangers tie the game early in the third period. But
the Devils prevailed scoring late in the game and adding an empty-net goal to
put the Rangers on the brink of elimination, once again.
The Rangers have faced two other win or out situations this
year and have prevailed in both of those games. They travel to Newark tonight for Game 6, and if they can pull out a win, they will be back at the
world’s most famous arena on Sunday for the decisive Game 7.
Can the Devils take the series or will the Rangers fight
back and show a repeat of what happened in 1994? Tune in tonight to find
out!
